Mary Manfredi’s junior career was spent as a working student riding, grooming, teaching, managing and training at Coker Farm with Judy Richter, Andre Dignelli and Kate Stoffel Oliver.  In 1991, Mary placed third in the USET Show Jumping Talent Search-East Finals in Gladstone, New Jersey.  She also earned her USET Silver Medal for 16 USET Medal class wins.

After graduating from Vassar College in 1994, Mary moved to Rome, Italy, and later Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Upon returning to the United States in 2000, Mary started working with long-time friend Peter Lutz at Davenport, Inc. Shortly thereafter, Mary moved to California to oversee the training of Davenport students Saer and Audrey Coulter.  

During this period, some of her training highlights include:

• Chef d’equipe of the Zone 10 Gold Medal Young Rider and Junior Show Jumping teams
• Chef d’equipe of the Zone 10 Prix Des States winning team at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show
• Team Gold Medal at the USET Nations Cup team in Buenos Aires, Argentina
• 1st place in the Grand Prix at the Syracuse International Horse Show (New York)
• 2nd place in the Del Mar Grand Prix (California)
• 5th place in the FEI World Cup Qualifier at the Oaks Blenheim (California)
• 6th place in the FEI World Cup Qualifier at the LA International Horse Show (California)
• Grand Champion Medium Pony Hunter at the Washington International Horse Show 
• Grand Champion at the West Coast Pony Finals (California)
• Second place at the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search-West Finals (California)
• 10th place at the Pessoa/USEF Medal Finals (Pennsylvania)
• 4th place at the ASPCA Maclay Regionals 

In the 2017/2018 competition years, Peter and Mary’s students have been:

• 2nd place in the WEF 2* Grand Prix (Florida)
• 4th place in the WEF 4* Grand Prix (Florida)
• Multiple class and Classic Wins in the 1.35m and 1.40m Amateur-Owner Jumpers
• Champion Amateur-Owner Hunter 18-35, at the Washington International Horse Show
• Champion Amateur-Owner Hunter, 18-35, at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show
• Grand Champion Amateur-Owner Hunter at the National Horse show (Kentucky)
• Circuit Champion Amateur-Owner Hunter, 18-35, on the Winter Equestrian Festival circuit (Florida)

While Mary’s primary focus is on the training of Lutz/Manfredi students and horses, she has a long list of accomplishments as a rider, some of which include:

• Top Grand Prix placings on the West Coast, including at the LA National Horse Show, Del Mar National, The Oaks, Showpark and HITS Thermal
• Sixth place in the Longines Cup at The Hampton Classic (New York)
• Sixth place in the Hermes Cup at The American Gold Cup (Pennsylvania)
